Ian has exceptional knowledge of financial planning businesses and operations within accountancy firms. He has had an extensive career as an independent financial adviser, with three decades experience spent working in financial planning within accountancy practices.
In 1996 he joined, national UK accountant, Mazars as a founding director of Mazars Financial Planning Ltd. Today, as a Partner of Mazars, he continues to lead its national private client business including its financial planning and wealth management teams. Ian started his career in financial services with General Accident before joining the Haines Watts financial planning team.
He works closely with the ICAEW’s Financial Planning and Retail Distribution Committee and is a Certified Financial Planner. Ian is also chairman of the CISI’s Accredited firms Board.
